Did you know that at Lloc de Menorca an authentic Talayotic naveta is preserved, known as the eastern naveta of Biniac!?
It is a funerary naveta where collective burials took place between the early Bronze Age and the end of the Bronze Age (1400-1000 BC).
The eastern Biniac naveta has a circular plan, with a sloping exterior built with roughly cut blocks placed horizontally. The door opens to the south of the monument. At an unknown time (recently, according to Hernández Mora, 1924) a dry stone wall was attached to the south area that covers and hides the south face.
A long corridor gives access to the oval chamber, built with irregular masonry with approaching courses and covered with horizontal slabs.
Its dimensions are: exterior length 11.10 m; exterior width 10.70 m; interior length 3.90 m; interior width 2.30 m
The naveta presents a structure halfway between megalithic tombs and elongated-plan navetas of more advanced chronologies.
